Weave the Web is a spider-web building simulation: a small spider sits at the centre of the arena and 8 anchors are evenly spaced around the perimeter. Your task is to catch as many insects as possible during a 60-second round — but first you must BUILD the web, and silk is a limited resource. Each empty anchor is shown as a faint ghost dot; clicking it weaves a RADIAL thread from the centre to that anchor (costs 1 silk). Once two adjacent anchors both have radials, four ghost dots appear between them at four ring positions; clicking one weaves a CROSS thread connecting the two radials at that ring (also costs 1 silk). A full web is 8 radials + 32 crosses = 40 silk; you start with 10 and regenerate one every ~1.8 seconds (capped at 12), so you can't just spam — pick strategically. Three insect types fly in from the perimeter: small green flies (+1), medium yellow moths (+2), big orange beetles (+5). When an insect touches any active thread it sticks and ~1.5 seconds later is 'processed', awarding its points. Beetles have a 45% chance of BREAKING the thread they hit; if a radial breaks, every cross anchored on it also collapses, freeing any other stuck prey. That makes big-prey hunting a costly trade-off: either sacrifice a peripheral radial or steer the dense central web clear of them. Strategy: start with four opposite radials (N-S, E-W) — insects mostly drift in from outside through the wide gaps. Then fill crosses from a middle ring outward; a denser net near the centre raises capture odds even for the tiniest fly. When silk hits 0 you can only wait, and that's a good window to harvest the prey landing on what you've already built. R resets the round; your best score is saved in the browser.
