How to play
Tips and detailed strategy
Beat the computer on an 8×8 board by capturing every opposing piece or leaving them with no legal move. You play the light pieces on the bottom three rows of dark squares; the AI plays the dark pieces opposite and you always move first. Click one of your pieces to select it — possible destinations on the dark squares light up — then click the target to slide diagonally forward by one square. To capture, jump diagonally over an adjacent opposing piece into the empty square beyond it; the captured piece is removed and if another jump is available from the new square you can chain it for a multi-capture. A piece that reaches the opponent's back row is promoted to a king and may move and capture diagonally in all four directions. Win when the opponent has no pieces or no legal moves; lose if it happens to you. The scoreboard saves wins and losses; R or New Game resets the board. Tip: advance pieces in pairs so each has a defender behind it, hug the edges (you can't be captured from the wall), and don't empty your back row too early or you'll let pieces queen for free.
