Damga is a wood-block engraving puzzle: in front of you is a block of timber with a pattern outlined on it. There are two kinds of cells. Dark cells with a wood-grain look are 'keep' zones — your chisel must not touch them. The lighter cells with thin diagonal hatching are target cells; those are the ones you have to chip out. A stroke is a straight horizontal or vertical run of cells from where you started dragging to where you released; it chisels every cell along that line in a single motion. The drag snaps to the dominant axis (horizontal or vertical), so a slightly wobbly drag still produces a clean line. If a stroke would cross a keep cell it is rejected — the frame briefly flashes red and nothing changes. A valid stroke darkens all target cells along its line; passing back over already-chiselled cells is fine, but a stroke that doesn't carve any new cell is silently ignored and not counted. The top HUD shows the level number, your best, the strokes you've used, and the 'par' (suggested minimum stroke count). When every target cell is carved the level ends; if you finished at or under par you get a short success message, otherwise you see how many strokes you went over. Your best score is the highest level you've completed and is saved in your browser. Press R to restart the current level, N to skip to the next. Tip: spot the longest straight runs of the pattern and take them in single strokes; corners typically need more than one cut. Keep cells barricade your strokes — sometimes you have to split a single visual arm into two strokes. On harder levels, ask yourself for each cell, 'which straight line could include this?' — some cells belong to both a horizontal and a vertical option, and your stroke ordering matters.
