Echo Grid — free browser game

The goal is to remember the pattern of cells shown on a 3x3 grid and play the same cells back in the exact reverse order, stretching the sequence out as long as possible. You start a round by pressing the Start button, Space, or Enter; the cells then flash one after another. When it's your turn you can click the cells with the mouse or use the number keys 1-9 (top-left to bottom-right): the first one you need to enter is the cell that flashed last in the pattern, and the last one you need to enter is the cell that flashed first. If you complete the whole sequence correctly your score rises, a new cell is added, and the round grows longer; a single wrong choice ends the game. Your high score is saved in your browser; the R key resets everything. Tip: as the pattern plays, break the cells into groups in your mind and rehearse them by putting the end first — on long sequences, thinking of it as "rewinding the film" from end to start dramatically lowers your error rate.
