Tips and detailed strategy
Make Change is a quick mental-arithmetic game where you stand behind the counter of a small grocery and work out cashier-style subtractions in real time. Each customer arrives with one to three items; the screen lists the unit prices, then the TOTAL, the bill they handed over (PAID), and the CHANGE you owe them on the right. Your task is to assemble exactly that change from the denomination grid at the bottom (25 kr, 50 kr, 1 ₺, 5 ₺, 10 ₺, 20 ₺, 50 ₺, 100 ₺) by clicking each note or coin to drop it into the drawer, then pressing 'Give change'. The drawer tally updates live — click any chip to take it back, or hit 'Clear' to start the count over. Hitting the exact amount scores +1; doing it with the minimum number of pieces (i.e. the greedy textbook change) scores +2 as a perfect bonus. A wrong amount or letting the customer's patience meter (the coloured bar above) drain costs a life; three lost lives end the run. Prices get spikier and patience tightens as your queue grows, so the game rewards both accuracy and speed. Keyboard players can use 1-8 to add denominations left-to-right, Backspace to take the last one back, Enter to confirm, Esc to clear, and R to restart. Tip: round to the next clean number first — for change of 17.75 ₺, drop a 25 kr to reach 18, then a 2 ₺ to reach 20, then a larger note to cap it — that order both minimises the pieces and keeps the arithmetic simple in your head.
