Tips and detailed strategy
Swing is a children's playground swing modeled with real pendulum physics. There is no left/right control — your only verb is 'pump'. As the swing whooshes through the bottom of its arc, tap Space, ↑, click or touch the screen to pump once; a well-timed pump grows the amplitude. Key rule: only ONE pump counts per half-cycle (one bottom crossing). A second press in the same half-cycle, or a press near the apex (top), becomes a BRAKE that bleeds energy — useful when you've overshot your target. The ring on the bottom-left tells you what your press will do: green 'BAS' (PUMP) is the sweet spot, yellow 'BAS' is reduced-efficiency pump, red 'FREN' (BRAKE) means pressing now will cost you energy. The bar on the bottom-right shows your current amplitude; a yellow tick marks the next apple's required angle and a red marker shows the 90° danger line. As the kid's feet sweep the arc, they grab the red apples hanging on the tree on the matching side once the swing reaches that angle. Each apple is +1, then a new apple spawns higher (20°, 30°, 40°, 50°, 60°, 70°, 80°, then random highs). Crossing 95° snaps the chain and ends the run — at high amplitudes you must learn to coast and brake. Tip: pump exactly when the swing is whipping through the bottom; pressing near the apex either wastes the input or brakes.
