Click: paint a cell (and its 3 mirrored twins) with the selected color · 1-4: pick color / eraser · Z: undo · R: reset level · Enter/Space: next level

How to play

Tips and detailed strategy

Iznik Tile turns the logic of traditional Turkish ceramic tiles into a small puzzle: you see a target pattern with four-fold mirror symmetry, with an empty tile beneath it. Your job is to pick a colour from the palette and click on the canvas to reproduce the pattern exactly. The twist is that your brush does not paint a single cell, it paints four mirror twins at once: the cell you touch is reflected across the horizontal axis, the vertical axis, and the centre, so all four cells take the same colour at the same time. Picking a cell in the top-left corner therefore paints the top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right cells too. Pick colours from the palette with the 1-4 keys or the mouse (1: eraser, 2-4: colours); in eraser mode the four selected cells are cleared. Undo a wrong stroke with Z, or restart the level with R. Once the canvas matches the target cell by cell the level is complete and you advance. There are five levels in total: the first ones are 4×4 single-colour, then 6×6 two-colour, the toughest is 8×8 three-colour. Each level has a theoretical minimum stroke count; the closer you get to it, the lower your total record becomes (lower is better). Tip: focus on a single quadrant of the target; group the filled cells in that quadrant by colour and pick each colour just once. Clicking the same quartet twice is a wasted move; if you picked the wrong colour, the cheapest fix is to erase that quartet and repaint it, which costs two strokes.
