Tips and detailed strategy
Karagöz Shadow Theatre turns the geometry of the traditional Turkish leather-puppet stage into a small precision puzzle on a single canvas. On the left of the stage is a flickering candle, on the right a stretched cream-coloured screen; between them you hold a tiny puppet on a stick. As you drag the mouse or your finger, the puppet moves horizontally and vertically within the central play area. The candle's light passes the puppet and lands on the screen, so the puppet casts a shadow on the screen: pull it closer to the candle and the shadow grows and sweeps up or down, push it closer to the screen and the shadow shrinks back toward the puppet's real size. Your one task: align the puppet's shadow with the dashed blue target silhouette on the screen, matching both height and vertical centre. When both height and centre are inside their tolerance bands, the green lock bar at the bottom starts to fill; when it fills, the round completes, your score goes up by 1 and a new target appears. If you drift out the lock bar rapidly drains — a shaky hold breaks the chain. A run lasts 60 seconds; complete as many targets as you can, and your best score is saved in your browser. Strategy: first lock the horizontal axis to match the target size (big target → near the candle, small target → near the screen), then settle the vertical axis on the target's centre. The two axes are not independent — moving horizontally also shifts the shadow vertically, because the whole projection radiates from the light source. That makes vertical precision easy on large targets and tricky on small ones, where every pixel of puppet movement moves the shadow by many more; on a small target, finish with micro-adjustments.
