Resonance — free browser game

Resonance is an additive synthesis puzzle. On screen you see a purple target waveform: this wave is formed by summing several sine harmonics (frequencies of 1×, 2×, 3×...) with integer amplitudes. Your task is to adjust the equalizer bars at the bottom so that the green curve sits exactly on top of the purple target. Each bar represents the amplitude of one harmonic; you can select a height directly by clicking a cell, or pick a bar with ← → and change its amplitude one step at a time with ↑ ↓. The 'Match' bar at the top is your hot-and-cold compass: the closer you get to the right harmonics, the higher the percentage climbs, and when it reaches 100% the two curves overlap and the level is solved. There is no losing; the only measure is how far you progress and how many moves it takes you to solve. At higher levels the number of harmonics increases (from 3 up to 6), so the wave becomes more complex and harder to read. Tip: first capture the slowest bend (the low harmonics), then correct the small ripples on top of the curve with the high harmonics. If increasing a harmonic lowers the match, that harmonic is either absent from the target or lower. The highest level you solve is saved in your browser.
