Snail Trail — free browser game

You steer a small snail across a garden grid, and the silver slime you leave behind stays fresh for about five seconds. Crossing your own fresh trail makes the snail move twice as fast, so unlike the classic snake game, touching your trail is not a mistake — it's a planned speed boost. The board has no walls: leaving one edge brings you in on the opposite side, so you can weave loops out of your own slime and tour them for sustained speed. Leaves sprout at random spots on the board; collecting one bumps your score by a point and adds a few seconds to the clock. When the timer hits zero the round ends and your best score is kept in the browser. Use the arrow keys or WASD to steer, Space to pause, and R to restart. Tip: prefer smooth loops over sharp turns when weaving your trail to keep the boost flowing, and lay slime between two leaves to build a multi-leaf collection lap.
