Tips and detailed strategy

Die Traveler is a small spatial puzzle where you roll a real six-sided die across a 5×5 grid. At the start of each puzzle the die sits in the middle of the board with 1 on top (6 underneath, 2/5/3/4 on N/S/E/W like a standard die). Three goal cells appear, each carrying a target number 1-6. Your job is to bring the die onto each goal cell while that target number is showing on top of the die — landing on the right cell isn't enough; you must arrive with the right face. You roll the die one cell at a time with the arrow keys or WASD (on mobile, tap the side of the die you want it to roll toward). Every roll tumbles the die exactly like a physical one: rolling north makes the top face become the new north face and the previous south face become the new top; rolling east makes the previous west face climb to the top, and so on. So lining up the right number on a target usually takes more than just walking there — you'll often need to loop around to 'set up' the top face before stepping onto a goal. When the die stops on a goal cell with the matching top face, the goal turns green and is locked in. Collect all three to finish the puzzle; the move counter shows how many rolls you used. Lower is better — your personal best is saved in your browser. 'New puzzle' (or R) randomises a fresh layout. Tip: opposite faces of a die always sum to 7 (1↔6, 2↔5, 3↔4). If you need 6 on top but currently have 1, one roll in any direction will swap the top-bottom axis with one of the side axes; it still takes 2-3 rolls to bring an arbitrary face to the top — count the distance plus the rotation cost together when you plan your route.
