Tips and detailed strategy
Moth is a puzzle about steering a single moth toward one specific candle on a night-time table. A handful of orange candles and one blue-flamed candle sit on a dark wooden table — the blue candle is the round's target. A moth drifts in from the edge and, like a real moth, is constantly pulled toward the brightest lit candle in view; closer candles outweigh far ones in the attraction calculation. Your only tool is to click (or tap) any lit candle to blow it out. An extinguished candle stops drawing the moth for the rest of the round and puffs a small trail of smoke. Your job is to read the moth's trajectory and put out whichever candle is about to mislead it, so the moth lands on the blue target. Land on the target and you score a point and move to the next level; each level adds candles and a touch of moth speed. Land on a wrong candle, or let the moth get lost when every candle is dark, and the run ends. Your best score is saved in the browser. Strategy tip: don't look at where the moth IS, look at the direction it's HEADING — work out the candle it's currently pulled toward, and if that candle isn't blue, snuff it. Snuff too late and the moth, at higher speeds, can't course-correct in time. With multiple candidate candles, think in chains: put out the nearest distractor first, then watch the moth re-pick. Never blow out the blue candle — if no candle is lit the moth drifts into the dark and you lose the round.
