Tips and detailed strategy
Roof is a reflex + prioritisation game where you keep your house from flooding by patching every leak as a downpour eats through the ceiling. The top of the screen shows an 8×5 tile grid; the dashed grey band underneath is your room, and the rising teal pool at the bottom is the water tank collecting whatever falls in. Every few seconds a random tile cracks open and a black hole appears — that hole releases a drop at a steady cadence; each drop falls down the screen and pushes the water level up when it lands. Tap (or click) directly on a hole — not on a drop — to slap a yellow patch over it. The patch keeps that hole sealed for 12 seconds, then it peels off and the leak comes back. Strategy: once 3+ holes are open at once you can't patch them all in time, so prioritise the oldest, most-dripping holes first. The first hole opens slowly, but after 30 seconds the spawn rate doubles, and after a minute a fresh leak can show up every second — reflex and attention scale with the storm. Your score is the number of seconds you survive; the game ends when the tank hits 100%. The best run is kept in localStorage. Press R or the Restart button at any time to reset. Tip: aim at the hole itself, not the falling drop — the click must land on the small dark circle on the tile.
