Moss — free browser game

Moss is a slow, strategic gardening game played on a 6x6 plot of barren ground. A round lasts 60 seconds. You start with two living moss patches near the centre; every other cell is empty soil with a hidden 'moisture' value (the colour of the cell tells you how wet it is — darker means wetter, pale or yellowish means dry). Every second all cells lose a small amount of moisture. Living moss tries to spread to its neighbours, but only into cells whose moisture is above 25 — bone-dry soil rejects new growth. If a moss cell's moisture ever falls to zero, that tile dies **permanently**: it stays grey, never regrows, and costs you points at the end. Your only tool is watering: click any non-dead cell to pour +30 moisture into it (capped at 100). The same cell has a 600 ms cooldown so you can't dump all your attention on one square — you must spread the love. Strategy splits in two: (1) speed up spread by watering **dry neighbours** of healthy moss so the patch jumps faster; (2) emergency-water moss tiles whose moisture is creeping under 20 to keep them alive. Final score = living moss cells × 10 − dead cells × 15. A single dead tile costs you the equivalent of 1.5 healthy ones, so 'I'll get to it' is expensive. Your best score is saved locally. Tip: watering a moss tile itself does not help it spread — it only extends its own life; spreading is triggered by the **neighbour's** moisture. Pour your first drops onto the empty ring around the centre to open a corridor, then push outward one tile at a time.
