Tips and detailed strategy
A heavy hammer swings constantly above the workbench, and 4 nails stand upright in the plank below. You can't stop the hammer — only release it. Each nail has its own 'sweet angle' (green arrow above the nail head): when the swinging hammer is exactly above a nail, that's the moment to strike. Press Space (or click) to drop the hammer; the angle at the release moment decides which nail you hit and how cleanly. Scoring is all about precision. The closer you release to a nail's sweet angle, the cleaner the hit. Three clean hits drive the nail flush (green flash, +10 score). Off-centre strikes bend the nail head sideways (yellow → red); the third bent strike on the same nail snaps it off, that nail becomes waste (−4 score). A total miss (no nail within range) is just a thud — no progress, no penalty, only seconds lost. When a plank is fully done, a fresh plank descends — either with more nails or a faster hammer; after seven planks both ramp at once. Your best score is stored locally. Tips: the hammer is a real pendulum — almost stationary at the extremes, fastest in the middle. Nails near the edges are easier to hit precisely (more dwell time); centre nails punish bad timing. Don't trust your mental model — use the green arrows as the true reference. Avoid releasing when two nails are both close to the swing line, you might hit the wrong one.
